North of Mountain View, west of railroad tracks, south of 17th, east of Main
I don’t think this subdivision has a name, except that the eastern part of it is Holiday Park, presumably because the street names are of ‘special day’ sort of nomenclature. Centennial Lane, Anniversary Lane,Valentine Lane, Holiday Drive, and Easter Court. Right in the middle of these is Merideth Lane, which doesn’t quite fit the pattern. It occurred to me that the spelling is a little unusual too. Googling “Merideth” gives a little over a million hits, while “Meredith” has about 68 million.
There was a bit of synchronicity with the 38 Valentine apartment. Jennifer called me right as I was finishing up my walk, and I was right near here when she called. We figured out that as of two days ago, we have had 38 Valentine’s days together! Also, we were in a play called ’37 Postcards’ together last year. which has a vague sort of similarity.
On the way there, I saw a sidewalk inscription I’ve walked past many times, being near our old neighborhood. Sarah, Kahla, and Derek, 1990. I happen to know who did this, and want them to know that there IS no statute of limitation on sidewalk desecration. But for $10,000 I will keep my mouth shut.I think this wall art is by Gamma Acosta, who went to Skyline High School around 2000. I’m always very impressed by his work, which he often does on a wall down at 3rd and Lashley. He recently did a somewhat controversial picture after the Sandy Hook shootings, which I thought was also very good.
These fence posts look like they were inspired by Chichen Itza. Our family went there years ago, and it was a very impressive tour. At that time we were allowed to climb to the top of the pyramid… I believe I heard that is no longer allowed, which is kind of a shame. It was fun climbing up, and surprisingly steep and scary climbing down.

Hey daddy very cool pics. Where is the cement inscription? Is it in front of the house here?
it’s on the north side of 17th avenue about a 100 feet or so east of 17th and lashley
