December 17 — Museum, Rec Center (SE of Ken Pratt & Main)

North of Pike Road (and Quail), west of Martin St. (extended south) and 119th St., south of Ken Pratt Blvd, east of Main.

Total for today :   33,200 steps   and  6:08 time.

Today’s area might be a little confusing, but basically, starting at Ken Pratt Blvd and Main, go south to Pike Road, east to Martin St. (even though it’s just a rut in a dirt road at that point), north to Quail, east to 119th St., north to Ken Pratt Blvd. again, and then back to 3rd.

Although I’ve been to the Longmont Museum several times for various events, I’ve never really been to the relatively-new Recreation Center (other than just the entry area).  But it appears I really should go there an familiarize myself with it a little…

COUNTRYSIDE VILLAGE TRAILER PARK

I’m not quite sure if the interior of this is considered to be within city limits, since the street signs don’t appear to be ‘standard’…  There is a ‘tree’ theme to the street names here… Pine, Walnut, Willow, Hickory, Maple, Pecan, Aspen, Pinon, Sequoia, Oak, and Fir…

There are lots of dogs in this neighborhood.  A lot of smaller dogs, perhaps because the yards are rather small.  But I did see a few largest dogs, such as (I think) a German Shepherd.

  1. Nice that you had a warmer December day for this LONG walk, as today it’s back in the teens. At least it was nice when I joined you for a couple blocks. I wonder how long we will still see damage from the flood? You didn’t post pictures of how cute these houses were, but I guess you are mostly looking at the details and not the big picture. I can’t believe you only have three more walks and you’ll be finished walking ALL of Longmont.
    You’re amazing.
